Hampton, Virginia Redevelopment Master Plan

Overview: Hill Studio prepared a master plan for a 75-acre campus formerly occupied by the Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind at Hampton. The project involved multiple meetings with stakeholders, governmental staff, specialty interest organizations, and residents of the surrounding neighborhood. The design team prepared several mixed-use development concepts (residential, commercial, and civic components) that embraced the culture and landscape of the former campus while integrating a new system of connected transportation, pedestrian and recreational linkages.
