Sterling Neighborhood Revitalization Plan

Overview: Hill Studio worked as part of a multi-disciplinary project team to develop a strategic neighborhood revitalization master plan for the historic Sterling Neighborhood in Greenville, South Carolina. This minority African-American neighborhood has a significant heritage and has experienced economic, social and infrastructure challenges complicated by divided municipal boundaries between Greenville City and County. The plan included strategic recommendations for infrastructure, housing, community facilities, transportation, pedestrian connections, economic sustainability, and neighborhood design guidelines. The plan included list of potential funding sources and implementation partners.
